Every April The University of Tennessee Medical Center celebrates National Donate Life Month to raise awareness about organ donation. For this story, I wrote about Natasha who gave her kidney to Walter. They were complete strangers before the surgery, but now doner and recipient share a lifesaving bond, as well as a similar heritage.
